Pitch Perfect - A Shark Tank (ish) Business Pitch Event

It's time for The Launchcast's own version of Shark Tank on episode 209. In this very special episode, we teamed with "Winning Entrepreneur Secrets," a room from in the "Network Like Crazy" club on the Clubhouse app to host a pitch event for entrepreneurs. Here's the deal: George and the rest of the moderators from "Winning Entrepreneur Secrets" give each speaker 30 seconds for their best business pitch and the mods in turn give them invaluable feedback on how to improve their pitch. Talk synopsis: A satirical look at the world of public speaking through the eyes of TEDx organizer and multi-time TEDx speaker, George Andriopoulos. George hypothesizes that the problem with public speaking is that a large amount of stages provide a platform for speakers to sell, which creates a precedent for the wrong kind of impact. Enter TEDx, a platform for spreading ideas with the caveat that the speakers MUST follow the “TED Commandments.” No selling. No political agenda. No religious agenda. No bad science. Can the TED Commandments be the answer that will save the future of public speaking? Explore this idea of hopeful change as we journey through the dichotomy of “the power of the voice” versus “the power of the stage.”
